Hiking without baggage
Follow in the footsteps of the last Spessart poacher
1st day
Arrival in Wertheim. Check-in in your hotel. Welcome drink and distribution of tour documents. Tour of the historic old town.
2nd day
Our tour starts on a ridgeway with a wonderful view to the charming Main valley. Via Grünenwört (hut and vantage point) we hike through the foothills of the Odenwald to Boxtal in the romantic Wildbach valley.
3rd day
After breakfast we take the ferry to Stadtprozelten. We pass the Henneburg (a short ascent) and walk to Altenbuch (lunch break). Another slight ascent to our today's destination: Schollbrunn. Before we get there a short visit to the memorial of the last Spessart poacher.
4th day
Spessart Robber's breakfast. Descent to the romantic mill valley and to the Chapel of Mark (last iron mill!). Lunch at the "Kartause Grünau" (fresh trouts). Through the Haselbach valley to Kreuzwertheim and back to the starting point in Wertheim.
