Wertheim, a romantic and medieval town, is situated between Würzburg and Frankfurt at the point where the river Tauber flows into the river Main. Wertheim – the center of a large vacation area – is surrounded by fertile fields, blooming meadows, quiet forests and sunny vineyards.

It is also called the "door to the charming Tauber valley" and is situated between the foothills of the Odenwald and the quiet and mysterious forests of the Spessart.
